Hi there!
How are you spending the summer?... Or winter, depending on the side of the world fr om which you read me
Well look, initially I planned to make some cards with the die cuts of 'my tiny sparrow girl' collection, but then I thought why stick only to cards, so I decided to make decorative panels, so they can be used to make a card, to complement a photo album giving it decorative or functional use, also for some decorative picture of a baby's room...
By other side, there is no doubt that Fabrika Decoru pampers us a lot. They are always thinking about making our lives easier and doing nice things for us.
One example: double sided paper die cuts photo frames. They are really beautiful and super practical.
For this first decorative panel I used the purple photo frames. I made a shaker panel with them, and to give volume I used the double sided foam adhesive.
Although the photo is not appreciated, there are 3 different volume levels. The first is the background, which by the way is also scrapbooking paper from the collection ‘my tiny sparrow girl’, then comes the frame, and on top of it is the small frame with the main figure, which also has volume.
I love Fabrika's double-sided foam tape because it has a discreet thickness that makes the finishes of the projects finer and more elegant.
The second panel I made was this...
Here in the first frame I made a combination with the die cuts of branches and flowers, plus the bird house and glued them in the orange frame. This frame has two acetates and among them a few sequins. There is no volume. It is a flat element.
And then, on top, on the left side I made a small envelope with the intention of inserting a photo in it, like this...
And as you can see, having acetate on the back panel, what will be seen in the background will be the decorated paper used in the element wh ere we put this panel.
Warning, the photo is not of any baby I know, it is a free image downloaded from Pixabay.
I will not deny that it has been very fun and inspiring to make these panels with the die cuts of these nice little birds. So, excited about it I went for my next frame.
Don't you think this die cut is the sweetest thing in the world?
It is a pity that the difference in volumes is not appreciated in the photos.
With each image I imagined stories and situations. For example, in this one, I had a lot of fun imagining the sensations of each one of the little birds. I thought that the bird in the center, unaware of her overweight was only thinking about having an ice cream, while her rope companions were suffering the consequences.
And finally, I made a panel related to travels.
I don't know why when I saw the die cut of the bird with the cap I saw it as an aviator. Then I realized that it is a winter hat, but I didn’t care and made a panel with many bags, a plane in the background and that’s it!
Hope you like it. See you soon!
