Let's see what Yulia tells about her inspiration: "In this publication, I will show how to make a canvas which can be easily transformed into a greeting card by sticking it not on a sheet of plywood or on a base made of designer cardboard. You can watch the video tutorial at the end of this post. And now I am going to tell you more about the process itself and the materials from Fabrika Decoru used in my project.
First, I outlined an approximate composition. As a base I used a sheet of scrapbooking paper with a wood pattern from the Wood Natural collection. To make layers, I used a piece of chiffon lace, painted with rustic paint (coal), tissue paper, tea bag, craft paper and a sheet from the Botany Exotic collection. Mushroom and leaf cut outs from Botany Autumn sheet for cutting images. The number 8 is from a set of wooden decorative elements. I glued everything with "Universal glue".
Then I protected my composition with transparent Gesso, so that the layer of paints spread beautifully without being absorbed into the surface of the paper. Paints used: coal rustic (applied with a palette knife), dry mango with gold (sprinkled it on a surface moistened with a brush), deco acrylic “red poppy” (applied with a wet brush). The next layer is the topping. I smeared the surface in some places with a transparent medium and sprinkled it with glitter, like salt, so that it lay unevenly.
I invite you to watch a video tutorial. Happy crafting!"
