Let's see what Marina tells about her inspiration: "Ho-ho-ho, can you imagine - there are only 12 days to New Year! Now it is a high time to think about gifts. And the best gift for the New Year is, of course, a gift made with your own hands. I will show you one of the options how to make a New Year greeting card in an envelope easily. The cards are made with alder cones and from the scrapbooking collection byTM Fabrika Decoru "Winter botanical diary".
I used a ready-made blank "Postcard in an envelope" by TM Fabrika Decoru. The blank is made from high quality kraft cardboard. Blanks can be decorated with paints, pastes and mediums by Fabrika Decoru, with scrapbooking paper, chipboards, die cuts, stickers or flair buttons. The envelope size is14x16x1.4 cm, the postcard is 12x15 cm, cardboard is 300g / m2 thick.
For decoration, we need 2 sheets of scrapbooking paper and a sheet with cutouts or die cuts, a couple of alder cones and a chipord. I have branches with a gold coating. And I applied a few final touches with the help of crystal deco topping. It will became transparent after drying and a frosty effect is obtained in the project.
I decorated the inside part of the box using a sheet of gold foiled velumm. On the card, I placed an inscription and added a couple of snowflakes, which I cut out of a gold-embossed acetate leaf. Inside there is a place to write down some wishes. It is better to write two words, scribble a smiley or a heart by hand, than to print a ready-made wish."
