Hello everyone! Inge van Den Broek is with you today. And I am happy to share with you my first project for Fabrika Decoru.
For my small mixed media project I used a blank notebook. I took a stencil and used the Fabrika Decoru Texture paste to give it a little 3D effect on my notebook.
When that was dry I painted it with black gesso from Fabrika decoru.
After that I put on different kind of decorative ellements and created some hights in my work by putting things in top of eachother. I used the universal glue from Fabrika Decoru. When it's al finished I painted the whole book with black Gesso. So now the whole book is totally black.
When it was dried I took White Gesso from Fabrika decoru and highlighted the whole book so you see the ellemants perfectly well highlighted.
Then I took my the dry magic paint. I used the colours: Turqouise, Aquamarine, Olive, Sienna naturel and yellow-green.
I sprankle them on the notebook in no particular order'. Only the Sienna Natural I used for the deeper spaces to see a dept. Then I used a spraybottle with water and make the book wet. The colours will come to life and its a mixes perfectly while moving te book in different ways.
I took My heatgun and dried the book. After that I reapeat the sprankling with the powders and the adding of the water.
When it dried for the second time I driedbrushed everything with white gesso again.
Doing it this way gives your project more dept and the colours will at the end come out more colourful and beautiful.
When its dried again I sprankle the paint again and this time I used a small brush to fill all the gaps. At the end the book is now fully coloured. After this I let it airdried for a while.
To give this book a little bit of a vintage look I took some brown acrylic paint and I cover the whole notebook. Before the acrylic paint gets dry I took a babywhipe or a wet towel and get rid of most of the braun paint . I only left it in small area's and deeper places, to get the 3D effect.
At the end I took the gold and bronze metallic paint from Fabrika Decoru and higlighted the decorative elements a bit to give it the finishing touch.
I hope you like it!
